Originally a football coach, working with Leicester City FC, James went on to study Sports Science at the University of Greenwich and Professional Football coaching with West Ham United and the David Beckham Academy. After getting injured whilst playing semi-professional football, he received physiotherapy treatment and decided to change career path, qualifying as a Physiotherapist from the University of Essex in 2010.
Additionally, to his role at JL Physio, James has worked within the NHS, specialising in musculoskeletal injuries and patients suffering from vertigo. James has also previously worked with Watford FC and Leyton Orient FC.
James is holds a Post. Graduate Certificate, qualifying in steroid injection therapy and complex musculoskeletal conditions. When he is not at work or studying, you will find him on the tennis courts at Essex University, playing golf and enjoying family life with his wife Seren and son Jasper.

Biography
After completing a BSc in Sports and Exercise Science at Loughborough University in 2012 Amy continued her education specialising in physiotherapy, gaining an MSc from the University of Essex in 2015. Amy was an elite athlete for several years competing at a national level in swimming, so has first hand experience of the positive impact physios can make on both performance and rehabilitation.
Amy has now specialised in MSK, working for the NHS in Sudbury. Prior to specialising in MSK Amy worked in hospital settings providing her with a broad range of knowledge and expertise ranging from orthopaedics to paediatrics.
Throughout Amy's career she has had a keen interest in injury rehabilitation, and more recently, the role of pilates in injury prevention and rehab. She is Pilates Level 1 APPI trained and (pre-covid) held local classes.
Outside of work Amy enjoys running and has completed a number of half marathons and enjoys everything outdoors! Plans to attempt a full marathon have been put on hold with a recent addition to the family, her son George!

Biography
Sue is a highly experienced physiotherapist who initially specialised in ICU and surgical inpatients, but after a spell in management, moved into Women’s &.
Men’s health(approx. 15 years ago), developing the service for Spire to include management of pelvic pain and the breast oncology service.
Sues specialises in treating women with mixed incontinence, prolapse, ante/ post- natal pelvic girdle pain, bladder & bowel issues, vaginisimus, chronic bladder pain syndrome (CBPS), bowel disorders. Issues surrounding menopause. Post –op gynae & breast cancer women.
Treating men with mixed incontinence, post radical prostatectomy rehab (referred from a number of London hospitals), CBPS, pelvic pain, bowel disorders.
Sue work closely with our Consultant Gynaecologists, Urologists, Pain specialists, Breast surgeons, Breast care & and Continence nurse specialists.
Away from work, Sue enjoys singing in her local choir, garden design and architecture, and watching rugby, cricket and football.

Biography
Lewis is a very skilled massage therapist and has been working with JL Physio for a number on months, gaining excellent patient feedback and building a growing reputation in the local area.
Outside of work Lewis is completing his BSc Physiotherapy degree at the University of Essex. Lewis is also a keen sportsman, playing football for his local team.
